Scotland in know for its castles - today the arena of Caledonia Gladiators became one of them. Anwil Włocławek lost to the opponents 63:66.
After a disappointing result in the first game of FIBA Europe Cup, Anwil Włocławek wanted to win on the road. Caledonia Gladiators had different plans - they were aggressive and pushed hard from the first minutes (19:11 after the first quarter).
Even when the Rottweilers responded and reduced the difference, the rivals were able to bounce back. Przemysław Frasunkiewicz's players could not find their rhythm - they had 20 turnovers. Nevertheless, Anwil had a chance to take the game into an overtime - unfortunately Jakub Garbacz missed.
Tanner Groves and Luke Petrasek were Anwil's best scorers. They each had 16 points and nine rebounds. Groves added one block, Petrasek - one steal.
