Anwil Włocławek's fifth victory in ORLEN Basket Liga! Today, the Rottweilers played better than WKS Śląsk Wrocław, eventually beating the rivals 80:74!
Games between Anwil and WKS Śląsk are something else - for nearly 30 years the rivalry between these two teams was fascinating for fans in Poland. No one should be suprised that today four thousand people came to the Champions' Arena to watch the Rottweilers and their great opponent.
Both teams played hard from the beginning - after 20 minut we had a tie (36:36). After the break Anwil made some adjustments. Przemysław Frasunkiewicz's players shared the ball better (a total of 17 assists) and made important 3-pointers (won 13:7 in that aspect). Kalif Young played like an expert in defense, while Victor Sanders led the team in offense. Eventually, Anwil won 80:74 against the EuroCup team.
Victor Sanders was Anwil's best scorer. The shooting guard had 21 points, six fouls drawn, four assists, three steals and rebounds.
